Duck Commander Devotions for Kids

This is a cute devotional for kids.
The hardback cover and the ribbon to keep your place add to the lasting and high quality of the book. My kids are enjoying us reading 2 devotions every night. It has a bible verse you can get them to repeat with you and then a story about someone in the Duck Commander family with a lesson on how they can apply the biblical lesson to their life. These lessons will only help your children to become better little people and help their walk with the Lord. Your kids would really have to know the Duck Commander family to relate with a few stories to know if they were kids or that Miss Kay is the “mom”. There is a short prayer so your kids can learn how to apply the new lesson into their prayer life. This is a good inspirational read that families can add to their bedtime routine or daily devotion time. I would definitely recommend this book. When Mercy Rains by Kim Vogel Sawyer

When Mercy Rains by Kim Vogel Sawyer
This was a very touching story that only kept you on the edge of your seats and would surprise you in ways you wouldn’t expect. It was a great read, and I believe it will be a great series. You don’t have to read part 2. This is a complete story, but if you want to see how the characters’ lives unfold, then you will most definitely want to get part 2 when it comes out.
This story reminds us of all the times you let a sin way you down and change your life. Then all of sudden you get to witness God’s Mercy as it rains on you and you open your eyes to His forgiveness and really get to embrace life. This is such a good read that lets you realize that maybe you didn’t get where you are today by the way you think is right, but God has held you tightly in his care. You are here for a purpose. God knew you at birth, your past doesn’t matter, and He has a great plan for you! Just hang on to this! If you know someone that has dealt with getting pregnant out of wedlock and dealing with not forgiving themselves, this would be a great book for them. Either way, we can all learn something by reading this Amish novel. Thank you WaterBrookpress. "I received this book for free from Blogging for Books for this Honest review."

The Beginner’s Bible Come Celebrate Easter Sticker and Activity Book

Awesome Easter gift!
This is a fun book for Kindergarteners – 1st graders. I know mine loves it. It will be great to show the true meaning of Easter. It has bold colors, good thick pages! Every page is a lot of fun for the kids. Some pages use stickers, some they can draw, some are word find, etc. It is about the size of a thin coloring book. When I ordered it, I thought it would be thicker. But once I got it, I think it is great to bring out for Easter so he has fun and finds the real meaning of Easter. I like the way the Beginner Bible is set up and this is a great add on for activities. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun gift for a child for Easter! Zondervan help bring us yet again another good book.

Just when you think you are having a bad day.... Never forget where you have been.. or where others are!

I found Sarah's story on FB when she was beginning the battle for her dear daughter's life. As a mom, the idea of losing a baby/child is a heartbreak when you see a parent hurting or a child lost in the news for no reason! I have continued to follow her story. She has awesome faith and has walked a bumpy faith filled walk the last few years. I pray daily for God to bless her and her children in only ways the Father can!

Her blog today really touched home. How often do we forget how far we have come or different requests from God. In her case it is just to hear her baby cry, when she was expecting her to pass away.. instead today.. she hears her cry and needs a moment of sleep!

Potty Training - How did I forget the fun times?

From labor/delivery to raising children - We honestly forget certain things, until another friend mentions something or you get the next kid, and go "OH WOW! How Did I forget?" From teething... To Potty Traning...

My son was pretty easy to train. I don't remember too many crazy times. He loved being cheered and praised. He did have one accident in his Dad's truck that I will always remember - Dad didn't realize he wasn't fully clothed under the big tshirt - Let's just say, he dropped one and stepped.

Now to my little princess! She loves to be clean. She has gathered the dirty ones go into the trash. However, sometimes she just goes and takes it off and puts in the trash and walks to me to help clean, or tries to clean herself... She maybe a princess, but yuck! Or one week was her thumbs up week. I passed the bathroom one time and she was just laying on the rug, giving me 2 thumbs up! Yes, she checks her diaper with her thumbs. So if you get a thumbs up, it is a dirty thumb and means in her words, "SURPRISE!" Just this past weekend, she would pass me with her face covered in her tshirt saying "pew wee." turns out her babies had a dirty diaper and she was throwing away clean diapers! I had to just give her a pretend trashcan - no telling how many clean ones had made it in the trash.
She does good some days and some days, she will let you know she went TT and then you get her to the bathroom and she hollers "Surprise!" This is going to be a fun ride the next couple of months!!

I Can Learn the Bible - This is a Keeper!

52 scriptures Every kid should know by Holly Hawkins Shivers
This is an adorable book that I will keep and use every year! I love how you have a verse a week to teach and learn with your child. They are key verses we should all know. I am looking forward to learning scripture with my children. My 5 year old is loving the book and excited about the next step. I think it will be awesome for us to use and I look forward to my younger child to learn scripture as she learns to talk. This is a great idea to have for every family. The verse is on a page by itself with cute pictures around it. Then you are given 2 to 3 pages of areas to talk about the verse and how to apply it to life. So this gives you multiple ways to go over this verse during the week as you look at the scripture every night. It is a good sized hardback book that should last for years to come. It isn’t huge, but maybe a little bigger than a 5x7. This would be a great gift for any family to help lead them to teaching God’s word to their children and a good quiet time for the night to focus on God before bed! It Will Be Okay by Lysa TerKeurst

Such a touching story!

This is a cute story about a seed that is happy being in his safe zone in his shed. Then one day a fox decides to come in his safe spot and move him. They become friends. The entire time the farmer watches over them. They know he is there, even t
hough he doesn’t communicate with them. Then one day the farmer takes the seed and they have to learn that change is coming and they have to put their trust in the farmer because he knows what is best for them. The fox doesn’t leave his friend the seed, even as the seed is placed into the ground to grow. One day after the seed has become a tree, they both find out that the farmer knew what was best for them. How often in life do we enjoy being in our safe zone and don’t welcome change easy!? I am one of those people for sure! We know God is always there watching out for the best for us. Then the time comes and he picks us up out of our safe comfortable place and says you must now GROW here! At first we are scared and unsure of our future, we can only trust that God knows what is best for us and sees the big picture when we don’t! I LOVE how this book teaches our children this! This is a book that I hope to give as gifts to others and to continually expose my children too. It has cute pictures and is a good size hardback book with a cover. Lysa did a great job relaying such a great lesson to our children!
