Win or Lose, I Love You! By Lysa TerKeurst

This is an adorable children's book. It is more wordy than her last book, but it is a cute book that teaches children that they can't always win. It is a fun story of field day activities and how some of the people are too prideful when they win, or they pitch fits when they lose. It reminds the children that they are loved no matter what - Win or Lose! That even if they lose they can make others feel special and step into help others. This would be a great book for any child's reading library. It is a hardback book that is oversized square. It has a dust cover which isn't needed and won't last with my children. Amish Christmas at North Star

Four Stories of Love and Family
by Cindy Woodsmall, Mindy Starns Clark and Emily Clark, Amanda Flower, and Katie Ganshert
What’s not to love – Amish and Christmas!
I love the Christmas books where they take one story and break it down into 4 stories. I have read Cindy Woodsmall before and was ok with learning of new Amish authors. It begins on a very snowy night where a midwife delivers 4 babies in one night. Then the 4 stories take you into where the 4 children are today. I really liked the story of Guiding Star by Katie Ganshert. It was about one of the babies being left with English people and the mom leaving into the night. Each story is different in its own way. The 2nd story is a mystery and solving a murder. The 3rd is about love and family. The 4th is about coming home for Christmas. If you love reading about Amish, you will love these stories! Goodnight, Manger

By Laura Sassi My toddler loved the Goodnight Ark book. So when I saw this, I had to jump and get it. She loves it! My 6 year old does also. They love the baby, all the animals coming to say hey to baby Jesus, and how the Momma is trying to hush them all so baby Jesus could sleep. The only thing that confused the kids were the angels looked like they were in colorful PJ’s but I just said they were trying to get baby Jesus to sleep! This is definitely one kids would love. It is a lighthearted look at Baby Jesus’ first night in the manager. It has a colorful bookcover sleeve, but it isn’t needed and most likely won’t stay with my book for long.
