From labor/delivery to raising children - We honestly forget certain things, until another friend mentions something or you get the next kid, and go "OH WOW! How Did I forget?" From teething... To Potty Traning...
My son was pretty easy to train. I don't remember too many crazy times. He loved being cheered and praised. He did have one accident in his Dad's truck that I will always remember - Dad didn't realize he wasn't fully clothed under the big tshirt - Let's just say, he dropped one and stepped.
Now to my little princess! She loves to be clean. She has gathered the dirty ones go into the trash. However, sometimes she just goes and takes it off and puts in the trash and walks to me to help clean, or tries to clean herself... She maybe a princess, but yuck! Or one week was her thumbs up week. I passed the bathroom one time and she was just laying on the rug, giving me 2 thumbs up! Yes, she checks her diaper with her thumbs. So if you get a thumbs up, it is a dirty thumb and means in her words, "SURPRISE!" Just this past weekend, she would pass me with her face covered in her tshirt saying "pew wee." turns out her babies had a dirty diaper and she was throwing away clean diapers! I had to just give her a pretend trashcan - no telling how many clean ones had made it in the trash.
She does good some days and some days, she will let you know she went TT and then you get her to the bathroom and she hollers "Surprise!" This is going to be a fun ride the next couple of months!!

I Can Learn the Bible - This is a Keeper!
52 scriptures Every kid should know by Holly Hawkins Shivers
This is an adorable book that I will keep and use every year! I love how you have a verse a week to teach and learn with your child. They are key verses we should all know. I am looking forward to learning scripture with my children. My 5 year old is loving the book and excited about the next step. I think it will be awesome for us to use and I look forward to my younger child to learn scripture as she learns to talk. This is a great idea to have for every family. The verse is on a page by itself with cute pictures around it. Then you are given 2 to 3 pages of areas to talk about the verse and how to apply it to life. So this gives you multiple ways to go over this verse during the week as you look at the scripture every night. It is a good sized hardback book that should last for years to come. It isn’t huge, but maybe a little bigger than a 5x7. This would be a great gift for any family to help lead them to teaching God’s word to their children and a good quiet time for the night to focus on God before bed! It Will Be Okay by Lysa TerKeurst
Such a touching story!
This is a cute story about a seed that is happy being in his safe zone in his shed. Then one day a fox decides to come in his safe spot and move him. They become friends. The entire time the farmer watches over them. They know he is there, even though he doesn’t communicate with them. Then one day the farmer takes the seed and they have to learn that change is coming and they have to put their trust in the farmer because he knows what is best for them. The fox doesn’t leave his friend the seed, even as the seed is placed into the ground to grow. One day after the seed has become a tree, they both find out that the farmer knew what was best for them. How often in life do we enjoy being in our safe zone and don’t welcome change easy!? I am one of those people for sure! We know God is always there watching out for the best for us. Then the time comes and he picks us up out of our safe comfortable place and says you must now GROW here! At first we are scared and unsure of our future, we can only trust that God knows what is best for us and sees the big picture when we don’t! I LOVE how this book teaches our children this! This is a book that I hope to give as gifts to others and to continually expose my children too. It has cute pictures and is a good size hardback book with a cover. Lysa did a great job relaying such a great lesson to our children! Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher through the BookLook Bloggers
