King David Get to Know Series by Nancy I. Sanders

I got this book to read with my 5 year old son. It is a small book with glossy colored pages with a lot of pictures of actual tools, maps, and things of the time you are reading about. It gives definitions to the bigger words a child might not understand. It is a lot of history and takes you on the story of David through a child up through the many stages. I really think this is a good tool to teach your child about David. It is edited for a young child to read so it isn’t too violent or detailed in the adultery area. I would recommend this book for those with kids from 5 and up to around age 11. I enjoyed how it describes the linage from Adam and Eve to David to Jesus. It is great to teach your child how such an iconic bible figure wasn’t perfect, but asked forgiveness and continued to follow Jesus.
