This was a cute rhyming book about a boy that doesn’t have many friends. He is very lonely. It is cute how he imagines what his parents might give him when they tell him they are taking him to a pet rescue shelter. My daughter loves the hippo picture. They are silly things like a short necked giraffe. It is cute how he gets to know his new puppy, and how Hap becomes one of the family. It is a hardback book that comes with a paper cover that most likely won’t last long with my kids. There is one sentence in there that would make it a “Christian” type book. The pictures are great and kid friendly. This would be a great book for any kid that will be getting a dog as a companion or has one. I would recommend it for sure! Showing and Giving our kiddos love...
I'm really not sure where I found these words that I now tell my kids... but I make sure that I tell them often
I LOVE YOU ALWAYS AND FOREVER ~ NO MATTER WHAT!
Our kids needs that reassurance that no matter what we love them. While getting onto my son one day and explaining how his actions were not acceptable, I heard, "I am sooo sorry! Why don't you just kick me out of the family! I know you want too!" WOW
What he did wasn't even that bad, but to him he felt like he didn't deserve to even be in our family. Then I simple said, "How does Momma love you?" He quickly said, "Always and Forever, NO matter what? So you still want me?" YES! It is always good to show and tell them that no matter what they do that I will always love them, but I also add, but so does Jesus.. He loves you even more than Momma!
I feel like I have my own library at the house.. We have way too many books. Anyway my little guy has also found a book that says I love you all day long. In the book, the piggy momma tells her son that she will love him all day long, even though she isn't with him, she loves him when he trips and falls, makes a friend, sings a song, is last in line. Now he will tell me.. Momma, I love you all day long even if... Now the other day he added, Even if you get fired.. I had to say um.. please don't say that.. Momma needs her job! ha!
Please just take the time to reassure your little ones on how much you love them! :)

How our kids see our to do list!
Just as you forget that your children are around, and guess what? They listen to EVERYTHING that comes out of your mouth! I'm in a big transition area in my life - moving, yearend paperwork, etc. So apparently I say that I am behind on my to do list, alot..
Last week, my son asked me to do something that would be just as easy for him to do himself. I asked, “Why do I need to do this when you can?” Then I heard the words from my 6 year old, "MOM, I'm so behind on everything that I need to do that I will be needing to do stuff by the time I get to Heaven!"
Let's just say that made my stop in my tracks.. He then goes on to add, "Do you think Jesus will let me come back and finish what I need to do?"
I love how God uses our kids to work on our hearts and open areas up that we get to talk to our kids about...
How often do we let our day to day To Do List take up too much space in our minds.. Will our To Do lists really matter when we get to heaven? Will they matter so much that Jesus will give us that added time to come back and finish - NOPE. He has given us this time on earth to do his Father's business. Yes the clothes still need to be washed and the food cooked... but I need to stop and make sure that in everything that I give God the glory and do the best that I can and realize in the end... when the time comes.. It will be ok to have stuff left undone.. Apparently my stress of not getting stuff done had been seen by my son. It was a big eye opener to just stop and hug him and try to release some of that day to day stress…
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord, not for men. Colossians 3:23
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

Precious Moments: God Watches Over Me
This is a precious children's board book. My daughter loves it. The pictures are cute and go with each page. It is a good size book wiht the soft cover. With each time you turn the page, it shows you that God watches over you while you do different things from being hungry, to sleeping, to playing. It is a good way to begin to teach your children about our Father's great love! It offers a sweet poem and prayer on each page. This would make a great basket addition for Easter or a great baby gift. I would highly recommend it to anyone needing a children's book.
